A true departure from the standard art documentary, Art & Racing is a lively trek through the life of a uniquely American artist. The film intercuts between two apparently distinct worlds: the international network of galleries, museums, and private collections where Scarpitta's artwork circulates, and a tiny dirt-racing track in rural Pennsylvania where a different sort of craft is practiced.
